Ingredients
1 Whole Head Of Cabbage
1 Smoked Rope Sausage
1 Large Bell Pepper Chopped
1 Tbspn Thyme
1 Tbspn Chopped Basil
1 Tbspm Minced Garlic
1 Tspn Salt
1 Tspn Ground Black Pepper
1 Tbspn Badia Complete Seasoning
Directions
- Rinse and chop your cabbage, bell pepper, and smoked sausage and add to a large pot or stockpot.
- Next, add just enough water to cover to just under the top of the cabbage
- Add all of your seasonings, chopped basil and thyme.
- Bring to a boil and then cover and let simmer for about 3 hours.
- That’s it. Serve with a nice warm bread or cornbread to make it a meal.
Notes
- For optional flavor, you can add a little diced jalapeno or banana peppers to your dish. For a vegan option, just replace the sausage with your favorite vegetable.
